This 50,000 sq ft loft-like office space for an ad agency required a flexible lighting system, one that allowed for special moments to relax, work, and gather. The base layer of lighting consisted of random, pendant-mounted led cylinder downlights, accent lights and wallwashers located amongst exposed structure, ductwork, and pipes. A feature stair, dubbed the" Coin Stair" has the dual purpose of serving as a casual gathering and formal presentation space. Theatrical lights allow for speaker lighting and random "slashes" of light playfully illuminate the folded wood of the underside illuminating the area below. More finished spaces like lounges and libraries, utilize wall washing and accent lights to reinforce the residential quality and the warmth of the materials. An enclosed conference room is softly and indirectly illuminated by a grid of custom metal disks.
